Nice jeans.

Bought these for my husband. Its the only style he wears. Good for casual wear, but still nice enough to wear to work with his dress shirts for "casual Fridays."

Location, Location, Location

Fit is everything in jeans. Different brands are for different body types, similar to shoes. I've purchased and worn dozens and dozens of Levis 501s & 550s over last 40 years. When they were made in the USA you could identify the factory and know what cut and fit to expect. The stonewashed jeans only shrank over a long period of time. Then there was Mexico and Egypt. Both different. Now, the last pairs purchased from Amazon came from Haiti. This is not a commentary on the Haitian people. This is a commentary about jeans. The Haitian jeans [stone washed] are cut oddly and shrink with one washing [The same sizes from Egypt ran large]. The fabric may vary and be thinner than yesterdays' jeans, but the real issue is fit. Levis have become very hard, if not impossible to depend on.

Bought these for my husband - he liked them but said they were thinner than the Levis I usually buy for him. But, for the price they are fine.

Never buying another pair of Levi's

If you follow the care instructions as I did you cannot wear these out of the dryer. They look terrible. More wrinkles than a shower curtain...heck on a shower curtain at least the pleats are straight. Cannot straighten them had to super-hot steam iron repeatedly. For a pair of CASUAL jeans? That's more care than any of my formal slacks. And after a single wash, the label is already fraying and coming off. Awful quality for a premium price.

Never getting another pair of Levi's. None of my other jeans wrinkled up this way. NONE.

The Button-fly is the devil's work....

First of all, let me say, these jeans fit like a glove, the sizing is excellent, for you big guys out there, you will love them. They make us look great. Now....the dreaded button-fly, this thing is absolutely AWFUL, if you are a big drinker don't do it unless you are wearing rubber underpants because if you are in a hurry to...lets say...evacuate, it ain't gonna happen with button-fly jeans. Other than that the quality is top notch, and you really can't beat this price.

Don't be as stupid as the Levi Corporation. Although Levi jeans manufactured in the 1950's sell for thousands of dollars in New York, the company has relentlessly degraded the product for 40 years now, trading on their name alone. They are actually so stupid as to try to compete with the slaves in a Chinese concentration camp by accepting products manufactured in Africa and South America. The original rivets are gone, their "denim" fabric is the worst quality; all seams fray, especially cuffs; belt loops fall apart; and the only appearance achieved is shabby tissue. These fools do not have the intelligence to realize that people would pay hundreds of dollars for jeans produced on the design, material, and workmanship of the 1940's. Stop living in the past.

A reasonably good one

I bought Verde Rigid 32 x 29. It was a perfect fit until I washed. Then it shrunk a bit. So be careful with the inseam when you order. Despite this, I like this jeans.The color is good and I love the Rigidity. Even after a couple of washes, it remains rigid.

1 Star down for the shrinking.

Irregular sizes

I've noticed that Levi's jeans have been extremely irregular in their sizes. For example, I just bought 2 pairs of 36 x 32 Relaxed Straight Jeans in two different colors and one was literally 3 inches shorter than the other pair. Further, one was more baggy. I believe this is due to Levi's having too many factories in various countries with little standards. I suggest trying these on and purchasing them at a store rather than online. Once you find the right "size" they are worth it.

Levi's sizes are not typical. The darker blue ones that I bought fit tighter than the the lighter blue pair of the same model 559. I will not buy jeans online again. Hopefully my brother can fit into them!

Not the right color

I ordered these thinking they would be perfect, but the color was MUCH darker then the one's I normally get with the same color! Not sure what happened, but Amamzon was awesome about taking them back! We had already replaced them from a local store, so wasn't able to replace them this time from Amazon!

not as good as the original

I purchased these pants with the hope that they were just like the original silver tab baggies I purchased years ago. Not even close. The pants (I ordered 3 of them) all fit differently. They are cut too short in the "crotch" area and are therefore not as comfortable as the originals. They are also way too long. So if you normally order 34 inseam, you need to order the next size down. But I guess when you realize how lousy quality control is these days, with all our products manufactured overseas, then just remember.....Buyer beware!

Looks good on older guys too

These are the only jeans that fit my husband who's in his mid-50's. The slim cut, low rise fit is ideal for my husband who's very lean due to his avid cycling. Most jeans don't fit him at all since the jean makers assume that guys over 30 are pudgy and out of shape! So glad we found these jeans.

I can't rock the skinny jeans cause I value my goods too much so I got a pair of 527s from the dept store a few weeks ago and loved the jeans but found a small tear on the leg that got worse after I already bought and wore them from the store. I was pissed off so I ordered 2 more pairs (sail and Indie) from Amazon. They came in 2 days and they fit perfect! colors matched the pictures dead on.Totally recommend this style if you want a tighter fit without your manhood screaming for air. Will be wearing these for a long time and probably replacing them with same kind.

Look good but, a little tight in the thighs.

I usually wear the Levi's 569 because they look like a lot more expensive jeans, a friend even asked me if they were Lucky Brand. The 569's fit really loose which is good because it doesn't hamper my range of motion. Thing is, just standing there, from the waist down, I look like a big "hip/hop" music fan. There's nothing wrong with that, it just doesn't make for the most squared away appearance. Now, for the 527's. These jeans look awesome on me, even if I do say so myself. The boot cut legs are nice... from the knee down. If you hold the jeans out in front of you they look like bell-bottoms but, wearing them, you can't notice. From the knees up, they get kind of tight though. I'm no bodybuilder, most people would say I'm kind of "wiry" but, from the knees up until almost the waist, these are pretty snug, if you know what I mean (cough, cough). I have to climb all over various equipment everyday as an overseas military contractor and a few times I thought the jeans were going to split up the crouch and backside but, nope, they held up fine. All together, I like these jeans. Like I said, they look really good. If your not going to be needing your full range of motion in your lower body for a night out to the movies or something, these will be fine, you're just not going to be cramming much in your pockets. I'd recommend them for semi-active to more sedate type activities.

I always look for this Levi's model, is very hard to find here where I live (Venezuela), I bought 2 pairs on my first time and both fits as I expected, this color (Sail) is exactly as you see on the pictures, don't be afraid for surprises.
